About 303 Marketing

Welcome to 303 Marketing, created to help B2B organisations build stronger programmes and create a more reliable route to marketing pipeline and revenue.

Our
Story

303 Marketing is built on more than 25 years spent at the pointy end of B2B marketing: developing strategies, building plans and delivering programmes designed to generate marketing pipeline and revenue.

That work also came with accountability. It meant making the case for investment to sceptical CFOs, explaining missed targets to CEOs and showing, quarter after quarter, how marketing was contributing to growth.

I have worked in public companies, privately owned businesses and US private equity-backed SaaS organisations, all with different cultures and expectations. In some, budgets were tightly controlled and every pound of spend had to be justified. In others, pipeline and revenue were reviewed weekly, monthly and quarterly.

That experience is the foundation of 303 Marketing.

The marketing advice I give is shaped by the day-to-day reality of running marketing inside a modern business: limited budgets, competing priorities, demanding targets and pressure to show results. It's practical, commercially grounded and designed to help marketing stand up to scrutiny.

Why
303?

The name is a small nod to British military history and the .303 calibre cartridge used by British and Commonwealth forces for much of the twentieth century.

Once you realise that Scott loves a bit of history - so much so he has written 17 books (and counting) on all aspects of military history - the name starts to make a little more sense.

And yes, the logo is designed to look like the bottom of a bullet!

Practical help for B2B marketing teams

303 Marketing works with B2B organisations that want to build a more reliable pipeline, improve their marketing strategy or get an important programme moving.

Sometimes that means developing a complete marketing or go-to-market plan. Sometimes it means reviewing what is already happening and working out why it is not producing the expected results. It might involve improving a campaign, creating a content strategy, mentoring a marketer or bringing some outside perspective to a problem that has become stuck.

The work varies, but the approach is consistent. I ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions and focus attention on the activity most likely to make a commercial difference.

You will get senior-level marketing thinking, but you will also get someone prepared to plan, build and deliver the work.
